Have you ever experienced
the moment of calmness after the storm? Have you noticed the fact
that a sense of relief washes over you but your alert levels are
still high?
Believe it or not,
everybody goes through that and it doesn't always have to be a storm.
The storm is merely a form of a metaphor. It mainly symbolizes
anything that poses as turbulence in one's life. As for a business
owner, all of them go through the phase of excessive uncertainties.
Eventually, as time goes by they receive the moments filled with
rewards that let them overcome the anxiety of failure.
Basically, a life of
success runs on simple principles but the practice is difficult. In
doing so, you would need the right mindset. You would need the
constant reminder. That's what mantras are for.
Produce a daily magnum
opus
Treat every task as a
work of art. This means that you have to pour everything to every
task that you undertake. Even if it requires simplicity, practice to
aim for excellence. How is this done? For example, you are a contentwriter of a company. You are then tasked to fulfill a set
of articles. What then are you supposed to do? Make each article
count. Make each as if it will be published on the New York Times.
Be an inspiration
To everyone who surrounds
you, let yourself be a beacon of positive energy. Don't dwell on what
is negative because this will not lead you to positive results.
Negativity begets failure as positivity begets success. You will
always be surrounded by people. So instead of having those people
hate on you, make those people be inspired by you.
Assume accountability for
any results
Accept the fact that
whatever happens to you is the fruit of your own doing. Blaming
others will get you nowhere. Instead of looking at others and
watching out for the errors they've committed, think of the line
"What could you have done better?"
You work as a virtualassistant to a certain client and his appointments got
mixed up for some reason. You check on the dates and you later on
found out that he accepted two meetings at the exact same time. Of
course he just phoned you and you just took down the notes. But what
could you have done better? Well, you could have double checked. That
way, the situation would have been averted.
